Alex Savin - Chair & Tournament Director

​

Alex is our tournament director and chair of the organising committee. Alex has extensive experience as a member of the organisation and delivery team for fencing events in the UK, including the British Championships, European Veterans Fencing Circuit events, and the Eden Cup/Leon Paul satellite amongst a multitude of other youth national and senior open events.

He has a proven track record of delivering athlete-centred events within a responsible budget, having acted as the tournament director for British Universities & College Sport and the British School Team Championships for over 5 years.

Alex was previously one of the organisers for the fencing element of the UK School Games and led the commissioning of its successor, the annual Youth 5 Nations tournament, with Welsh Fencing.

Alex is currently a director of England Fencing, with a remit for the delivery of EF events and development of the EF event workforce.
